1.1. Ersan’s Driving School driving instructor training consists of a combination of compulsory study modules, private practice and practical training sessions to prepare you for the relevant tests in the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) qualification process.
1.2. Ersan’s Driving School offers the following driving instructor training courses:
1.3. All in-car practical lessons must take place in the Trainer’s vehicle. It is not permissible for any training to take place in the trainee’s car.
1.4. All home study and private practice will be completed in your own time as outlined in your course workbook.
I shall, at all times:
2.1. Use my reasonable endeavours to provide instruction at the agreed lesson times.
2.2. Use my reasonable endeavours to train you to a high standard but shall not be responsible for any errors made by you.
2.3. Be professional and courteous towards you and other road users.
2.4. Act in accordance with the DVSA Code of Practice for Approved Driving Instructors (a copy of which is available at https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/driving-instructor-code-of-practice/approved-driving-instructor-adi-code-of-practice).
2.5. I may alter the total amount and format of training from time to time in line with best practice and/or DVSA requirements.
2.6. The practical training will commence/finish from a mutually agreed location. However, I reserve the right to determine, within reasonable travelling distance, the start and finish point of any training session.
2.7. Act in accordance with the law.
3.1. You must hold a valid Full UK driving licence.
3.2. To ensure you can meet all the physical, medical and legal requirements of the DVSA for entry onto the DVSA Register.
3.3. Ensure your eyesight conforms to the standard of ADI Licensing requirements, currently to be able to read the old-style number plate (with letters and numbers 79mm in height and 57mm wide) at a distance of 27.5 metres and a new style number plate (with letters and numbers 79mm in height and 50mm wide) at a distance of 26.5 metres.
3.4. You must always wear any relevant prescribed glasses or contact lenses.
3.5. To complete private practice and home study as required and as directed by your trainer.
3.6. To follow the advice and recommendations of your trainer at all times.
3.7. To give a minimum of two working days’ notice if you wish to cancel/reschedule a lesson. Failure to do so may result in you being charged the full value of that lesson. You can obtain information on current fees from www.ersansdrivingschool.co.uk/prices.
3.8. Any additional training required can be provided by your trainer at an additional cost. You can obtain information on current fees from www.ersansdrivingschool.co.uk/prices.
3.9. You must inform me of any medical conditions or prescribed medication which may affect your driving ability and
3.10. If you fail to comply with one or more of sub-Clauses 3.1 to 3.9 above, I may immediately cancel one or more training sessions. If I do so, I may in my discretion still charge for the cancelled sessions.
4.1. I cannot guarantee test passes, however, I will work with you to maximise your chances of passing any test.
4.2. No guarantees can be given regarding the minimum time it will take to qualify, as there are factors beyond my control including but not limited to elements required to be completed in your own time, and test date availability.
5.1. My fees for the package or packages you have selected can be found at www.ersansdrivingschool.co.uk/prices.
5.2. I may change fees without prior notice, but any pre-paid sessions or packages purchased prior to the change will not be affected.
5.3. Course fees do not include additional training, DVSA test fees or licence fees.
5.4. All payments must be received within the timescale for the package you require. Failure to do so will result in training being suspended until any arrears are received.
5.5. You must pay for tuition prior to the start of your session. You can pay with cash in the car or via bank transfer. Please arrange a bank transfer to meet the timescale for the package you require:
5.6. When requested, a receipt will be provided as proof of payment.
5.7. You cannot sell or transfer your purchased lessons to any other person.
6.1. Where applicable, prior to attending your initial lesson, you must generate a check code and email/text this code, together with the last eight characters of your driving licence number to me. This information will only be used to validate your driving licence. A check code can be generated by visiting the DVLA website https://www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence. Failure to provide the requested information may result in you being charged the full amount for the initial lesson.
6.2. You must present your valid full UK driving licence to me prior to the start of your initial lesson. You must also pass an eyesight check. Should you fail to provide your driving licence and/or fail the eyesight check, I will refuse tuition and/or cancel any lessons you have booked with me. You may be charged the full value for the initial lesson.
6.3. You must notify me of any matters existing at any time that may affect your ability or entitlement to have driving tuition, for example, but not limited to, any lack or loss of a valid driving licence. Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of any lessons booked and you may be charged the full value of those lessons.
6.4. If I deem you unfit to attend your lesson due to alcohol, drugs or illness, the tuition will be cancelled, but lesson fees may still apply.
6.5. You must give at least 48 hours notice if you wish to reschedule or cancel a booking. Failure to do so may result in you being charged the full amount for that booking.
6.6. I will not be held responsible for any out-of-pocket expenses incurred due to cancellation of a lesson through driving instructor illness or vehicle breakdown.
6.7. I will reschedule your lesson at no extra cost to a date and time convenient to us both.
7.1. You must present your valid full UK driving licence and if applicable, your trainee driving instructor licence to your examiner at the start of your test. Should you fail to do so, your test will be cancelled, and you will be charged the full value for the booking.
7.2. You must notify me of any matters existing that may affect your ability or entitlement to attend the test, for example, but not limited to, any lack or loss of a valid driving licence.
7.3. If I deem you unfit to attend your test due to alcohol, drugs or illness, the booking may be cancelled, and fees may still apply.
7.4. You must give at least 48 hours notice if you wish to reschedule or cancel the booking. Failure to do so may result in you being charged the full amount for the booking.
7.5. In the event of driving instructor illness or vehicle breakdown, I will endeavour to find a replacement instructor/vehicle. Where this is not possible, I will pay for another test. However, I will not be held responsible for any additional out-of-pocket expenses incurred due to cancellation of the test.
7.6. You may be charged the full value of the booking should the DVSA cancel your test with less than 48 hours notice. You may apply to the DVSA for a refund of out-of-pocket expenses. 8.1. You may cancel any lesson during the 14-day period after I accept the booking.
8.2. If the booking includes any lesson on a date which is before the end of that period and if you have requested that I provide that lesson and I do so, you may not cancel that lesson and you must pay for it.
8.3. If you cancel any lesson and you have already made any payment to me, I will refund the payment to you within 14 days of receiving your cancellation less the amount due for any lesson that you have received.
9.1. This Agreement shall be construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.

10.2. I will not share your details with any other person, company or organisation outside of Ersan’s Driving School except for accounting purposes or for legal proceedings.
11.1. It is my intention to provide you with a service that delights you and fully meets your needs. In the unlikely event that I do not meet your expectations, in the first instance, please email me at ersan@ersansdrivingschool.co.ukwithin five working days outlining your complaint. I will endeavour to deal with your complaint within ten working days of receipt.
